Paul is a graduate of the Limerick School of Art and Design gaining a Hon Ba H1 in ceramics and expanding practice. Previous to attending college Paul spent many years working as a ceramic tiler. With a deep passion for history and botany along with an interest in innovative technologies Paul's expertise in Craftsmanship has been developed over many years of working with his hands, beginning as a young apprentice and progressing to become an expert craftsman in his own right. He has honed his skills in the art of ceramic making, using his technical ability to create intricate and beautiful pieces. He has spent countless hours studying the natural world and its many wonders, delving into the rich history of plants and their place in society throughout the ages. This knowledge has influenced his work in ceramics, allowing him to infuse his pieces with a deep appreciation for the natural world and the rich traditions that have shaped it.
Through his work, Paul looks to capture the beauty and complexity of the natural world, incorporating his knowledge of history and botany to create pieces that are both visually stunning and intellectually engaging. Whether he is creating a delicate vase or a bold sculpture, each of his pieces tells a story, drawing upon centuries of human experience and the wonders of the natural world.
