WORK
Paul Anthony's work explores Brehon law, the ancient legal system of Ireland, recognizing the interconnectedness of humans and the natural world. This perspective is rooted in animism, the belief that all things, including inanimate objects, have a spiritual essence. Animism emphasizes the importance of respecting and living in harmony with the environment, recognizing that our actions have consequences beyond ourselves. Incorporating Celtic mythical legends with inspiration from the classical ceramic works of Wedgwood and Meissen the artists intention is to reflect this appreciation of the natural world's beauty. These works incorporate elements of nature, such as flora and fauna, into their designs, emphasizing the inherent beauty and value of the world around us.
